"Twas cocktail time in Montone. The swallows are circling overhead, the sun is setting and the moon is rising.
Our World Cocktail turned out to be the The Bloody Pearl:
2 parts Gin
2 parts freshly squeezed blood orange (double strained)
1/4 part Pastis
Mint (lightly muddled)
And it was a fine cocktail to start the evening. Now we're off to trip the light fantastic at the Hotel Fortebraccio, where they actually serve fish in Umbria! Will wonders never cease?
